About the Company

Upforce is a full-service staffing provider of international workers with a focus on technical workers, logistics and food production. With 1500 flex workers the company holds a strong position as value add supplier of international workers for its clients.

Since 2018, together with the founders, FIELDS Group has grown the business substantially through five acquisitions. Furthermore, these add-ons have been fully integrated and a management team has been implemented to further grow the business going forward.

In 2023 the business was sold to Value Enhancement Partners, who acquired the shares together with management.

Joris van Gils

High-energy and driven, Joris thrives on the excitement of deal-making and the challenge of building great teams & companies. Pragmatic and hands-on, he believes durable businesses are created through clear execution and close cooperation with management teams.

Starting his career in corporate finance at a Dutch mid-market boutique, Joris developed a deep understanding of how to structure and close transactions while building lasting relationships with entrepreneurs. Over his career, Joris has played a key role in more than 100 deals. Since the founding of FIELDS, he has played a key role in many investments, applying a broad set of strategies across industries including technical services, staffing, manufacturing, and education.

Outside of work, Joris enjoys active family time — often in the mountains, both in summer and winter. Passionate about sports, he can be found mountain biking, running, skiing, in the gym, or on the padel court. True to his Brabant roots, he also appreciates the social side of life and doesn’t shy away from a good party now and then.

Rutger brings a sharp analytical mindset, decisive leadership and acts effectively in complex situations. He combines his data-driven mindset with a strong ability to build lasting relationships, which consistently translates into business success. Prior to joining FIELDS, Rutger worked as strategy consultant at Roland Berger where he supported companies to improve their performance through sales and cost optimization and restructuring.

Rutger leads an active lifestyle and enjoys daily walks and sports to clear his mind and spark creativity. Having lived in the UK, India and Denmark, he brings an international perspective and a curious, energetic drive to explore new ideas. Just as in his professional life, he thrives on meaningful connections and values spending quality time with family and friends.
