About the Company

CCR Group is a Contract Research Organization (CRO) with laboratories in Germany and the Netherlands, offering integrated services to the pharmaceutical, biotech, (agro-)chemical, and medical device industries.

The group consists of ICCR-Rossdorf and Synergy Health. ICCR was acquired from Envigo, while Synergy Health was acquired from Steris as a non-core asset needing relocation.

FIELDS Group actively managed the carve-out, integration, construction of a new laboratory, and commercial development of the group. These strategic actions resulted in operational earnings increasing more than fourfold.

CCR Group was successfully sold in 2023, demonstrating the value of focused management and strategic transformation in the CRO sector.

René is experienced in successful transformations, buy-and-build, and hands-on investments. He was CEO and on the Supervisory Board of various companies in business services, IT services, pharma services, among others. René knows what it is to run a company. He has a no-nonsense view on things. And he knows how to see and seize opportunities. Before starting FIELDS, René was a member of the Bain & Company MT and an Associate Partner with Monitor Group. René started his career in corporate restructuring with KPMG Germany. René studied Business Economics at Maastricht University and Corporate Strategy at INSEAD.

René is married and has three children. Next to traveling with the family, he loves to do different type of water sports or spend time in the mountains conquering the next summit.
