The group began with the acquisition of Absolut Bikes and, together with FIELDS, has successfully acquired and integrated three add-on businesses. In the B2B segment, Absolut Bikes is a leading online wholesaler of bicycle parts and accessories in Europe. In the B2C segment, CycleFusion boasts a robust market presence through its brands Merlin Cycles and Hibike.

CycleFusion’s integrated platform delivers quality, reliability, and a broad product range to both professional and consumer customers across Europe. The company intends to further grow organically and inorganically.

René is experienced in successful transformations, buy-and-build, and hands-on investments. He was CEO and on the Supervisory Board of various companies in business services, IT services, pharma services, among others. René knows what it is to run a company. He has a no-nonsense view on things. And he knows how to see and seize opportunities. Before starting FIELDS, René was a member of the Bain & Company MT and an Associate Partner with Monitor Group. René started his career in corporate restructuring with KPMG Germany. René studied Business Economics at Maastricht University and Corporate Strategy at INSEAD.

René is married and has three children. Next to traveling with the family, he loves to do different type of water sports or spend time in the mountains conquering the next summit.
